Herba Hoota Hound Dog Bird helps children deal with bullying and develop good self-esteem

Herba, the hound dog and Hoota, the eagle, lived along the Pamlico River in Bath, North Carolina. One day, while playing a game of tag, they collide into one body with two heads and two distinct personalities. They travel throughout the books adjusting to their new body and learning how to use their “super powers” for good.

Herba Hoota Hound Dog Bird is a series of children’s books to help children deal with bullying, self-esteem, and other matters, through a colorful, yet unusual, Hound Dog Bird. They teach children how to be true friends and how to stick up for one another. The authors have a love for children and a passion to help them deal with life’s experiences. Their goal is for children to remember, “If you want a true friend, you have to be a true friend.” The books are for children ages five to twelve
